totDate: Friday October 6, 2017 from 18.00h - 21.00h Location: V2_, Lab for the Unstable Media Eendrachtsstraat 10 3012 XL Rotterdam What Remains is a new darkly humorous 8-bit homebrew adventure video game for the 1985 Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It is 1986. You just came home from a skate session when a Nintendo game cartridge falls into your hands. Excited to find out what kind of game is on the cartridge, you visit your friend who just bought a brand new Nintendo console two weeks ago. You plug in the cartridge and a strange list of encrypted files appears… The game is currently under development and will be released for free in early 2018. By free we mean a free of charge NES ROM download and we will publish the source code and assets under free culture licenses. A limited edition of physical cartridges for the NES and the Famicom, using recycled hardware, will be also produced. Iodyne Dynamics, in collaboration with V2_ in Rotterdam, will host the first playtest, and we are looking for players to come and give us feedback on the current prototype! Wellicht vinden jullie dit tof! Op 29 november is de eerste editie van THUISBASIS, een relaxte middag met dj’s, kunst en games in Club Basis, Utrecht. Je kunt chillen op de beste muziek, een pot gamen en pokeren of toffe expo’s bekijken. Uiteraard is aan eten en drinken ook gedacht. T42's Arcade is aanwezig voor het retro gamegenot met o.a. Pong 1974, NES, SNES, SEGA en Playstation 1. Als game verzamelaar en retro gamer kom ik een hoop spellen tegen nu had ik gisteren een moedige bui en dacht laat ik battle toads in battlemania voor de snes weer is proberen. Nu weet ik weer waarom ik zoon hekel aan dat spel had het is alsof ze een hard mode hebben gemaakt maar een normale mode zijn vergeten. Nu vroeg bij welke spellen vliegen of vlogen bij jullie de controllers door de (huis)kamer

Beste forumleden van het Retroforum, Allereerst een groet aan alle forumleden (die ook geintresseerd zijn Retro games, consoles en computers.) Mijn naam is Julian, retroliefhebber, columnist en docent. Ik ben op dit forum terechtgekomen door een video van het retroforum waarbij zijn aanwezig waren bij de Retro Game Experience in Hilversum: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft2aRqk45m8. Ik dacht ik ga even neuzen bij de buren en het is complimentwaardig, vandaar mijn aanmelding! Zelf ben ik mede-eigenaar van een website waarbij ook Retro games, consoles en computers centraal staat en ook wij beschikken over een forum. Zelf ben ik benieuwd naar jullie mening over de verschillende Mario Karts? Wij hebben namelijk net een video gemaakt waarbij Mario Kart centraal staat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Evu1AtqmQyY.
